Thông báo cảnh giác về các cuộc gọi lừa đảo giả mạo Tổng Lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại San Francisco
Hiện nay, Tổng Lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại San Francisco nhận được nhiều khiếu nại về việc công dân Việt Nam và người Mỹ gốc Việt tại Hoa Kỳ nhận được các cuộc gọi từ các số điện thoại tự xưng là đại diện của Tổng Lãnh sự quán và yêu cầu phối hợp giải quyết các vụ việc tại Việt Nam… Sau đó, những đối tượng này yêu cầu cung cấp số tài khoản, chuyển tiền cho “cơ quan công an Việt Nam”, v.v.
Lưu ý: Tổng Lãnh sự quán Việt Nam tại San Francisco không bao giờ thực hiện những cuộc gọi như vậy. Những kẻ xấu đã sử dụng công nghệ để giả mạo số điện thoại, mạo danh cán bộ Tổng Lãnh sự quán nhằm lừa đảo, chiếm đoạt tài sản của người dân.
Tổng Lãnh sự quán khuyến cáo công dân Việt Nam và người Mỹ gốc Việt cần hết sức cảnh giác và tuyệt đối không cung cấp thông tin cá nhân hoặc chuyển tiền cho những cuộc gọi đáng ngờ.

Warning on Scam Calls Impersonating the Vietnamese Consulate General in San Francisco
The Consulate General of Viet Nam in San Francisco has recently received numerous complaints from Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese-Americans in the United States about receiving phone calls from individuals falsely claiming to be representatives of the Consulate General. These callers request cooperation in resolving certain issues in Viet Nam, and subsequently ask the recipients to provide bank account information or transfer money to so-called “Vietnamese police authorities,” among other fraudulent demands.
Please note: The Consulate General of Viet Nam in San Francisco never makes such calls. Fraudsters have used technology to spoof phone numbers and impersonate consular officers in order to scam and defraud individuals.
The Consulate General strongly advises all Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese-Americans to remain vigilant and to never provide personal information or transfer money in response to suspicious phone calls.
