The Consulate General of Viet Nam in San Francisco is pleased to announce some regulations related to entry to Viet Nam:

– For foreigners, Vietnamese residing overseas and their relatives with valid entry documents (valid visa and/or visa exemption certificate) can enter Viet Nam without having to redo the procedures of personnel inspection, visa/visa exemption certificate issuance, nor apply for approval of the local ministry or sector (for eligible foreigners who would like to apply for a visa exemption certificate at the Consulate General please click here).

– For foreigners who do not have a visa: Provincial People’s Committees continue to consider and approve, creating favorable conditions for cases of entry to work, attend conferences, seminars, study, humanitarian… in their respective provinces. Ministries and agencies under the Central Government shall decide on the invitationand take responsibility for managing foreigners working with them.

– Upon entry, all people must comply with medical requirements under the guidance of the Ministry of Health, ensuring 5K regulations (Face Mask, Disinfection, Keep Distance, Avoid Gathering, Health Declaration); no confirmation of the local authority or other authorities is required to be allowed to enter Vietnam.
